Well, this was upsetting.
Falmouth North (which is basically Falmouth Penwerris) has the second highest levels of children living in poverty in Cornwall at 24.5%.
One quarter of all children living in my division are living in poverty. That’s a staggering percentage.
Child poverty has risen and risen under this government over the last 12 years. The last Labour government took a million children in this country out of poverty.
Something has to change. The lives and futures of our children, in Falmouth, are becoming harder and more limited.
