I wrote in my column a fortnight ago how the last decade of Conservative austerity has meant that councils don’t have the money to keep services open that they aren’t compelled by law to provide. Youth services, toilets, libraries, outdoor education centres, the school music service, the annual free book voucher for schoolchildren scheme. All those have been cut in Cornwall recently and much more.
We do need to change that trajectory. Before we lose them all. Recorded this short video on a windy day at Ships and Castles.
